The Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Fund’s Re-staging Initiative
For 25 years, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet commissioned and performed works by choreographers whose distinctive voices helped shape the company’s unique artistic identity, bringing their creations to audiences across the country and around the world.
Through ENCORE!, the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Fund supports the re-staging of works originally commissioned and created for ASFB,
giving new generations of dancers the opportunity to discover and interpret this repertory while introducing these ballets to new audiences.
By returning these works to the stage, the Fund celebrates the enduring talent of the choreographers who shaped ASFB and ensures that their creativity continues to inspire. Each restaging creates a living connection between generations, allowing ASFB’s artistic legacy to evolve through the interpretations of new dancers and companies.
At its heart, ENCORE! is about honoring a legacy by looking forward: keeping these works alive, where they belong—on stage, in the bodies and imaginations of new generations of dancers, and before audiences for years to come.
