REPERTOIRE
Aspen Santa Fe Ballet’s repertoire puts its emphasis on the sophisticated and entertaining. Eclecticism resonates throughout an ASFB program. The company has a European aesthetic grounded in American sensibilities. Energy, invention, popularity, accessibility, and precision are benchmarks for our repertoire. Our best ballets demonstrate that we make use of the dancers to the best advantage, expanding the creative range of the dancing in a gallery of contemporary classical works that are appealing and challenging to the audience, and capable of saying new things. ASFB is committed to commissioning new work by today’s most notable choreographers. Building relationships with these creative talents has become a hallmark of the company, with choreographers like Nicolo Fonte, Jorma Elo, Dwight Rhoden, Dominique Dumais, Moses Pendleton, or Trey McIntyre, all coming back to create second or third works for us.
